This blog is my way of sharing my interest in the world of cheese. It’s about sharing some of the things I love, teaching you some of the things that I’ve learned and occasionally showing off pictures of goats.
I’ve been obsessed with the yellow stuff for a long time now, but in 2011 I decided to get serious and left the UK to learn as much about cheese as possible.
It wasn’t an easy ride, but things went well and I managed to find work experience with renowned affineur Harvé Mons before being employed in a highly respected cheese shop in the heart of Lyon’s high end Halles Paul Bocuse (an important stop on the gastronomic tourist trail).
I learnt a lot about the French cheese industry and in 2013 won the title of ‘Champion de France des Fromagers’ (French champion cheesemonger) in the Concours National des Fromagers.
If you’d like to learn more about my journey, why not have a look at my book?
I also love running cheese events, head over to the events page to find details of upcoming activities.
I would love to hear any feedback that you might have on this blog and would certainly be happy to answer any questions. Let me know if there's anything in particular that you would like me to blog about.
Thanks for reading!
